Fourth of July Fireworks at Bald Hill

Brookhaven Town will present the annual Brookhaven Pops Concert and “July 4th Blast at Bald Hill . . .Grucci Style” on Saturday, July 4 at the Brookhaven Amphitheater, located on Bicycle Path in Farmingville. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with show time for the concert set for 7 p.m., and fireworks following the conclusion of the concert at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Parking is available at the amphitheater, Brookhaven Town Hall and Sachem High School. County Road 83 will be closed at an undetermined time prior to the fireworks between Granny Road and Mooney Pond Road. For more information, click here.

The Brookhaven Youth Bureau is looking for bands to perform at Cedar Beach in Mt. Sinai this summer.  Enjoy playing for your friends and other teens on summer nights in a beautiful, safe, drug- and alcohol-free setting. Program begins Wednesday, July 8 and runs every Wednesday through Friday from 9 p.m. to midnight.  July 8 through August 21.  Ages 13-20.  For more information and to book your band, contact Charlene via e-mail at NSYC2005@aol.com .

Brookhaven Town invites you to its Safe Summer Programs for older youth. These programs offer music, games, sports, special events, live DJ and live bands depending on their location. “We Work for You Community Forum”

Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy has announced he and county department heads will host a “We Work for You Community Forum” on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the Brookhaven Town Hall in Farmingville from 6-9 p.m. This interactive town hall meeting will focus on the concerns residents in your community face each day. Free Foreclosure Prevention, Mortgage Assistance Counseling

Free foreclosure prevention assistance, mortgage counseling and homebuyer education for Town residents and property owners is available at Brookhaven Town Hall by appointment every Thursday. The counseling service is offered by the Long Island Housing Partnership on the third floor of Town Hall, in the office of Housing and Community Development. To make an appointment, call 451-TOWN.
