Councilman Tim Mazzei has served as a Town Board member since June of 2003. Currently a partner in a local law firm he has concentrated on personal injury matters and criminal law. In prior years, Mr. Mazzei spent 9 ½ years working in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office where he was an Assistant District Attorney and the Bureau Chief of the Homicide Division. His experiences as a businessman, a prosecutor and attorney appropriately complement the goals and themes of a Town Board that is focused on governmental reform.

Councilman Mazzei’s interest in public office stemmed from his active involvement in his community and his former membership on the Bayport /Blue Point High School Board of Education where he fought for quality education for our children.

Mazzei, a 1979 graduate of Pace University School of Law and a Bayport/Blue Point High School alumnus, currently resides in Blue Point with his wife Bernadette, and his two children, Mark and Angelina. As a lifelong resident of Blue Point with a lengthy record of outstanding service to the Town and County, Councilman Mazzei represents committed and effective leadership for the people of the 5th Council District.

Council District Five consists of Blue Point, Lake Ronkonkoma (part), Holbrook (part), Holtsville (part), Medford (part), North Patchogue, Patchogue, East Patchogue, Davis Park Fire Island
