Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE)
The purpose of this organization is to strengthen the U.S. small business community through its experienced volunteer SCORE members, who provide high-quality technical and managerial counseling, guidance to prospective and existing small business owners, and non-profit organizations on the handling of business problems. The SCORE Program concentrates on the individual business owner or manager. SCORE members shall advise their clients to take a balanced approach to management, and to enhance the potential for the success of their business through quality education and counseling on specific problems in areas such as: finance, personnel, marketing, production, merchandising, etc, and also to urge, when desirable, that they seek sound advice and useful relationships with other professional business specialists and associates.
The SCORE Association is a non-profit association dedicated to entrepreneur education, and the formation, growth and success of small businesses nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the Small Business Administration (SBA). SCORE Association volunteers serve as “Counselors to America’s Small Business”.
