Mission Statement:
The Workforce Development subcommittee is responsible for connecting workers with employers in the Town of Brookhaven Empire Zone. The subcommittee will develop cutting edge approaches to connecting those seeking employment with businesses seeking workers.
Goals:
The Workforce Development subcommittee plans to develop on-site targeted job fairs for Empire business and to create training programs with BOCES, Suffolk Community College, and NYS DOL One-stop Center for local training/service delivery to prepare workers in with the zone area to work in zone businesses.
