Law Department

The Department of Law is legal counsel to the Town Board in all proceedings, undertakings and/or activities concerning and involving the Town Board. In addition, the Law Department provides legal counsel to all of the Town officers in their official capacities.

The Department of Law oversees all legal business pertaining to the Town as a whole, including but not limited to supervising Town investigations and prosecuting all violations of the Town Code including dangerous dog incidents. All Freedom of Information Requests are processed though the Law Department.

The Law Department also processes Highway Work Permit Bonds, Zoning Board of Appeals Covenants, Planning Board Covenants, Cross Easement for Common Driveway, Drainage Easements, and Highway Easements.
