Timothy P. Mazzei Councilman
Councilman Timothy P. Mazzei was appointed at the June 3, 2003 meeting of the Brookhaven Town Board. He is also a practicing attorney, and served in the Suffolk County District Attorney's office for nine and half years as an Assistant District Attorney and Bureau Chief of the Homicide Division, where he prosecuted criminal cases. His experiences as a businessman, a prosecutor and a private attorney appropriately compliment the goals and themes of a Town Board that is focused on governmental reform.
Councilman Mazzei's active involvement in his community stemmed his interest in public office. As a former member of the Bayport/Blue Point High School Board of Education, he fought for quality education for our children, and still maintains that as a priority.
Mr. Mazzei is a lifelong resident of Blue point and has a lengthy record of outstanding service both to the Town and County. A 1979 graduate of Pace University School of Law, Mazzei has spent the past thirteen years as a partner in a private law firm and has concentrated on personal injury matters and criminal law.
Mazzei, a Bayport/Blue Point High School alumnus currently resides in Blue Point with his wife Bernadette, and his two children Angelina and Mark. His firmly planted roots and superior record of service have undoubtedly prepared him to continue to serve the residents of the fifth district well.
