The former site of Bayview Community Hospital, Dr. Calabro and his family donated the 4.8 acre parcel to the Town of Brookhaven in 1999. The Bayview Park project will bring several benefits to the residents of the Town of Brookhaven. When completed the new park will assist in the beautification of Mastic Beach. The Locations proximity to the business corridor of Neighborhood Road will also assist in promoting a higher quality of life, impacting economic development for the better. Residents of the Town will have access to another park for their enjoyment, particularly the residents of the sixth district, which currently has a scarcity of parks. Bayview also provides a unique opportunity for all Brookhaven residents to have access to waterfront property.
