Farmingville, NY - On Wednesday, January 12th, Brookhaven Town Councilman Dan Panico rode along with Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent John Rouse to review the snow clean-up effort following this week’s storm.
“I applaud the effort of our hardworking highway department who leave their homes in the middle of the night and work around the clock to remove snow from our roadways,” commented Councilman Dan Panico. “Highway Superintendent Rouse was very gracious in his offer to tour my district and review the plowing of our roadways. As we drove the streets together we checked areas that were problematic during the last storm to ensure that these roads were cleared. I thank him for the opportunity and thank all of his staff, particularly the people I had the opportunity to meet yesterday who do a fine job for our residents.”
The Sixth Town Council District consists of consists of the entirely or parts of the following areas - Mastic, Mastic Beach, Shirley, Smith Point, Moriches, Center Moriches, East Moriches, Eastport, Manorville, East Yaphank, Calverton, Ridge, and Brookhaven Hamlet.
“Delivery of the best possible Highway services to all of our residents requires teamwork and partnership. Councilman Panico’s help in managing this recent storm in Council District 6 was invaluable. We at the Highway Department were happy to have him as part of our team,” commented Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent John Rouse.
