Councilman Mazzei Seeks Comments on Pipeline Extension

Dear Neighbor,

I recently attended the scoping meeting that was held on August 10th, 2006 at the Islandia Marriott Hotel that explained the proposed route of the Iroquois pipeline extension project from Commack leading to the proposed power plant in Yaphank.

Any resident that wishes to voice their concern over the route of this pipeline must contact the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission immediately! You can make a difference by providing them with your specific comments or concerns about this proposal. The more specific your comments, the more useful they will be to the agency.

Your comments must be received in Washington DC on or before August 25th, 2006. You can submit your comments in writing to:
Magalie R. Salas, Secretary
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
888 First Street, N.E., Room 1 A
Washington, DC 20426

Carefully follow these instructions:

  • Send an original and two copies of your letter
  • Label one copy of the comments for the attention of OEP/DG2E/Gas Branch 3, PJ-11.3
  • Reference Docket No. PF05-16-000 at the heading of your letter on both the original and the copies.

*Please note that the Commission will also accept electronic filing of your comments.

Log on to the Commission’s Internet Website at
http://www.ferc.gov - You will be
directed to the “eFiling” link.

For additional information on the Iroquois’ Brookhaven Lateral Project, visit their website at www.iroquois.com

My office is available to you should you require any assistance in this procedure or wish to discuss any other matter. My office number is (631) 451-6645.

Sincerely Yours,

Timothy P. Mazzei
