Supervisor Foley Invites Residents to Comment at Hearing

SEPTEMBER 18, 2006, FARMINGVILLE, NY- Brookhaven Town Supervisor Brian X. Foley invites residents to a public forum on Tuesday, September 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Brookhaven Town Hall auditorium on the 2nd floor on Cablevision’s intent to apply for a renewal of its franchise. The Cablevision franchise agreement with the town is due to expire on March 24, 2009.

Federal regulations require that such a forum be held in order to help the Town identify future cable TV-related community needs and interests, and to review the performance of Cablevision under the current franchise.

All Town residents are invited to attend this forum and provide comments.  Those not able to attend are encouraged to provide written comments by September 29, 2006 to: Office of the Supervisor, Town of Brookhaven, Att: Cablevision Renewal Proceeding, One Independence Hill, Farmingville, NY 11738.
