Brookhaven Town Supervisor Brian X. Foley, Highway Superintendent John Rouse and Councilwoman Connie Kepert joined in the groundbreaking ceremony on December 22, 2006 at the future site of the Harrison Hale/Gordon Heights Community Center in Gordon Heights. From left to right are Councilwoman Kepert, center Director of Programs Artice Hale, Superintendent of Highways Rouse, Supervisor Foley, President and CEO of the center Bishop Harrison Hale, Grace Iannidis from Suffolk County Women Services, and Chairperson Tawaun Whitty of the Gordon Heights Visioning Steering Committee. The center’s programs and activities will benefit low to moderate-income individuals and families.
