Live Holiday Trees Included in Curbside Brush Collection Week of Jan 8th

Live Holiday trees, wreaths, and garlands can be placed at the curb on Sunday night, January 8th, for collection by the Town’s Waste Management Department carters during the first regular brush collection week of 2006. (Note: The next scheduled brush collection will take place the week of March 12th.)

Residents are asked to remove all wire, decorations, tinsel, and bags from items before placement at the curb. Trees taller than six feet must be cut in half.

Trees can also be brought to the Town Landfill on Horseblock Road in Yaphank at no charge. All greenery will be chipped and made available to residents for landscape use.

Artificial trees can be placed at the curb as one of the four bulk items allowed on the second garbage collection day each week.
