Farmingville, NY – On October 12, Councilwoman Jane Bonner was invited to the Miller Avenue School by Principal Louis Parrinello to participate in the “Jumping Jack Healthy Heart Event” to set the Guinness World Records® title for the most jumping jacks in a 24-hour period. To break the record, more than 20,000 people worldwide had to complete one minute of jumping jacks starting on October 11 at 3 pm and ending October 12 at 3 pm. Councilwoman Bonner presented the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders at the event with Certificates of Congratulations for their participation. Results of the record breaking attempt will be announced by officials of the Guinness World Records® in a few months after all paperwork is processed and verified by the company.

“The children were so enthusiastic that you couldn’t help being inspired by their effort to help break the record,” said Councilwoman Bonner. “It was a lot of fun and good exercise for everyone who participated.”
