Brookhaven Town Board Commemorates 70th Anniversary of Coast Guard Auxiliary



FARMINGVILLE, NY – Brookhaven Town Councilman Keith Romaine and the members of the Town Board recently presented a proclamation to United States Coast Guard Auxiliary celebrating the organization’s 70th anniversary. The Coast Guard Auxiliarists in Brookhaven, based in Center Moriches, over the past year alone have saved 16 lives, assisted 527 people, saved over $14 million in property, and conducted over 10,000 recreational vessel safety checks.
