On Saturday, June21, 2008  10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The Brookhaven Animal Shelter & Adoption Center will host it's 6th annual free rabies clinic.  One Thousand free rabies vaccines will be donated by the Suffolk County Health Department. Residents are encouraged to bring their dogs and cats to the Brookhaven Amphitheater, South Bicycle Path Drive, Farmingville (click here for directions).

New York State and Suffolk County Law requires that all dogs and cats be vaccinated against rabies. Vaccinating your pet not only provides protection for the animal, but vaccinated pets also act as a barrier to keep the rabies virus from spreading between wild animals and people.
