Home for the Holidays 11th Annual Pet Adoption Campaign!

Please stop by the Adoption Center as we join 3,604 other shelters and pet rescues in 17 countries worldwide in celebrating Iams Home for the Holidays 2009 international adoption campaign.  Iams has a goal of helping 1.5 Million pets find a Home 4 the holidays this year.  So please help us and Iams achieve this goal.......You may just find a four footed furry friend to love.

The Brookhaven Animal Shelter & Adoption Center kicked off our annual Home for the Holidays Adoption Campaign in October  and will continue through January  4, 2010.  This campaign is designed to increase awareness of homeless pets available for adoption at the shelter.  A "Tree of Hope" stands outside the shelter. After each animal goes home, a bulb will be lit.

Representatives from the Town of Brookhaven, Iams, Helen Woodward Animal Center and puppies from the Brookhaven Animal Shelter & Adoption Center participated in the Opening Ceremony of the New York Stock Exchange on December 24, 2008.
