News & Announcements


You will see us at fairs, parades, firehouses, and shopping malls promoting pet adoptions and distributing humane educational materials. At the Adoption Center we have at least four themed adoption events annually and we even have a free rabies vaccination clinic every year.

Barktoberfest & Flea Market Success!

Third Annual Barktoberfest was Pawsitively Perfect!

 

The event held on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 at the shelter was a day of family fun. It included face painting, dog contests, and demonstrations by Suffolk County K-9 Police Unit. "Wolfie" the dog had goodie bags for all the children and Animals from the Ecology Site were also on hand to welcome visitors.

Our "Flea" Market/Yard Sale event benefited our Help the Animals Fund. We are grateful to our shelter employees and friends who graciously donated items to the "Flea" Market/Yard Sale. All proceeds from the sale went to our Help the Animals Fund.
