The Adoption Center has a Humane Education Specialist who travels throughout the town teaching children and young adults compassion and the responsibilities of pet ownership. We offer in class presentations with age appropriate workbooks for the children to take home and a pet is always in attendance. Class and group tours of the center are always available for those who would like to see the shelter operations first hand. The goal is to impress upon our younger population just how essential caring for our pets really is. Bite prevention and safety, pet care, spay/neuter, and pet identification are big focal points for us.

Our Humane Education Specialist is also available to speak at clubs as well as community and civic groups.
